Something I would tell someone my age that is struggling with their confidence would be to be selfish. There is nothing wrong with doing things that make you feel good or benefit you in any way, especially if that thing can help with your confidence. Also do not compare yourself to people, there will always be someone who is bigger, better, prettier,etc. That does not matter because you are only seeing one side of that person and internally they may be struggling with the same exact thing that you are.
