Tell us about yourself
My name is Shania V., I am currently a 20-year-old college studentfrom New Jersey, and I am looking to pursue my passion in modeling.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
Currently I don’t have much modeling experience. Growing up it wasn’t really
something my family supported. However, now that I’m an adult I can pursue it and
I’m really looking forward to it.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to be successful and to be able to provide for my family.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
What it means to be your own kind of beautiful is not caring about what others think
and realizing that your beautiful no matter what. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
and everyone is beautiful in their own way.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would describe my fashion style as chic streetwear. I love to dress comfortable. I
love putting different pieces together.
Who or what inspires you?
What inspires me is successful women, especially in the industry I want to be
successful in. I watch them on social media all the time and they inspire me every
day. Someone else who inspires me is my dad, he’s a very hardworking and devoted
man.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
My advice to someone getting into modeling is to just go for it. At first, I was very
skeptical and hesitant, but I just went for it because it’s something I always wanted to
do.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed
or shaped you.
Some obstacles I’ve overcome in my life is not thinking I was good enough. Growing
up I always had this fight with myself that I wasn’t worthy enough of certain things
and I was very insecure and shy and quiet. However, over the past few years my
mindset has changed completely and I’m very proud of myself.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
What makes me beautiful is who I am as a person. I am a very kind and selfless
person. I have a very big heart and I’m always thinking about others.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their
confidence?
To someone my age struggling with confidence I say I’ve been there too. In order to
change that you need to work on that battle with yourself because self-love is very
important. And once you have love for yourself life seems way better. Sometimes we
can be our own worst critiques and not to be so hard on yourself.
