Tell us about yourself

I am from Washington DC. Growing up in the capitol, I’ve always been interested in politics, international relations, humanitarianism, philanthropy, and finance. I graduated with a degree in Government and currently work for a federal agency full time. I enlisted in the military service to further give to this country, specifically the Air Force’s DC National Guard unit. I love to stay active, I dance salsa and am an avid runner. I am a fan of the arts and everything creative. I’ve done painting, drawing, playing an instrument, sewing my own clothing creations, writing poetry, and photography as my latest hobby. I have travelled all around the world and still haven’t experienced enough of it! I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree at George Washington University in Public Administration. My mantra is to live life to the fullest.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

Last year I’ve had photographers reach out to me on Instagram and I’ve done shoots - either paid or collabs to be featured on their page (TFP).

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to reach a position of leadership in my occupation, work as a freelance journalist on the side, see almost every country in the world, and to start a charity gala.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful is to love yourself, your mind, your body, your heart, your passions and desires, and your capability for kindness.

How would you describe your fashion style?

While I mainly telework, I can’t quite embody the fashion of Blake Lively power suits, however my style is mainly that of nudes and pale colors - I appreciate more delicate styles.

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by successful and admirable women, noble men, and by art

What have been your greatest accomplishments?

My greatest accomplishments have been all the jobs I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to contribute to

Do you have any special talents?

I can dance salsa/bachata, can learn steps fairly quickly and have rhythm

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

When I was a child I was extremely shy and had a hard time making friends due to social anxiety, low self esteem, and high insecurity. As I grew older and realized my unhappiness was only due to my inaction, I took the first step toward friendliness and haven’t stopped moving since!

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My flaws, for they softened my heart and hardened my resilience

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence

I would say to stop comparing themselves to others. That true confidence is derived from the power to be joyful and happy no matter what, and you’ll always look the most beautiful when you are smiling. Also that you can be beautiful at any age, any height, and any body shape. Yes, sometimes the industry says you don’t meet a criteria for a beauty standard that cuts off most of the world’s population. That doesn’t mean that you are any lesser. It just means that there’s still more work to do in this society, and thankfully this is a progressive time where our voice is actually heard!
