Tell us about yourself

I am 22 years old and I am from Picayune, MS. I am enrolled in University of Southern Mississippi for Speech Pathology. I love animals, yoga, family time, and shopping.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I once entered a modeling contest at my local mall when I was 13 and won, but that’s about as far as it went.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to make a  difference in the world whether that be by spreading kindness or through Speech Pathology.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me, being your own kind of beautiful comes from within. When you are kind and confident with others, you radiate beauty.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would love to say that I have one type of style but  I love changing it up. From cute athletic clothes to trendy clothes, pinterest is my best friend!

Who or what inspires you?

My mom is my biggest inspiration. As a single mother, she has always strived to give my siblings and I the best life possible. She is a true, beautiful hero that never fails to inspire me.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Try not to get into your head too much. As someone who struggles with anxiety, I had the hardest time overthinking everything from how I looked in photos to the conversations that I had with photographers. Do breathing exercises, positive self talk, and try to have fun. You are beautiful and you’ll kill it.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I have struggled with anxiety and depression my entire life. Everyday and every conversation has been a struggle for me; it has cost me friends and opportunities. I started going to therapy for my mental health and it has really made a positive impact. My mental health has shaped me into a strong, determined, and passionate person.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My features that mirror my family. My brown eyes and lips that I got from my dad. My face structure that resembles my grandmother’s and moms. My height from my grandfather. Each feature inherited from my family that contributes to my overall beauty.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Comparison is a thief of joy, it destroys your confidence. It can be hard to be confident when your self esteem has taken a beating, but you have to remember that no one looks like you. You are one in a million and that’s a great thing and something no one can take from you.
