Tell us about yourself
I'm Karina Chavez, a 32-year-old Latina originally from Mexico, now calling Illinois home since I was 10. I've got a couple of passions that keep me going. First up, I'm an artist—I've been painting for a solid eight years now, and it's where I truly feel like myself. Art just speaks to me, you know?
On the work front, I'm a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at a hospital, and I've been at it for five years. I float around, lending a hand wherever needed. It's been quite the journey, especially considering I'm a cancer survivor. Yep, beat that sucker and came out stronger on the other side!
Life's been good, and I'm grateful for every moment, every brushstroke, and every patient I get to help. Cheers to living life to the fullest!
Tell us about your modeling experience.
For the past four years, I've been immersed in the world of modeling. From occasional photoshoots to strutting my stuff on fashion show runways, and even lending a hand backstage, I've been fully engaged in the industry. It's been an exciting journey, filled with unforgettable experiences and opportunities to showcase my unique style and presence. Looking forward to what the future holds in this dynamic and ever-evolving field!
What is your biggest dream? My greatest aspiration is to inspire women to pursue their dreams, showing them that anything is possible with determination and belief. I strive to be a beacon of motivation, encouraging others to reach for the stars and embrace the endless possibilities that life has to offer.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
To be your own kind of beautiful means embracing your unique qualities and being confident in who you are, without conforming to others' standards. It's about recognizing and celebrating your individuality, both inside and out.
How would you describe your fashion style? My fashion style can be described as bold, striking, and strong, reflecting a confident and spirited attitude. I embrace originality and self-expression, making a statement with every outfit. Being true to myself is essential, and I thrive on showcasing my individuality in every look.
Who or what inspires you?
My children are the driving force behind everything I do. Their boundless energy, infectious laughter, and unwavering love inspire me to reach new heights and strive for greatness. Their presence in my life fills me with purpose, reminding me of the importance of perseverance, resilience, and unconditional love. Every moment spent with them reaffirms my commitment to creating a better future for them and encourages me to embrace life's journey with courage and determination.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling? Always pursue your dreams with unwavering determination, and never allow anyone to impose limitations on what you can or cannot accomplish. Embrace your passions wholeheartedly, trust in your abilities, and stay true to your vision
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you. I've faced some significant challenges in my life, one of the toughest being my battle with cancer. It felt like my whole world came crashing down, especially when I had to undergo surgery and lost my left kidney. However, overcoming cancer taught me a profound lesson about the fragility of life. It made me realize that every moment is precious and that I should cherish each day to the fullest. This experience has given me a newfound appreciation for life's beauty and has fueled my determination to make the most out of every opportunity.
What makes you beautiful What makes me beautiful is my authenticity and resilience. I embrace my flaws and imperfections, seeing them as part of what makes me unique. I strive to be kind, compassionate, and empathetic towards others, believing that true beauty lies in how we treat those around us.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
I'd want them to know that they're not alone. Everyone faces moments of self-doubt, but it's important to remember that our worth isn't defined by external factors or other people's opinions. hi im sorry but the drop box link for the pictures isnt working
