Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
Hi, my name is Justyna Gil! I am a 22 year old student at Springfield College in the Physician Assistant Program. I grew up in the small town of Thompson, CT! I was a cheerleader for 8 years and still have a passion for the sport. I love working out, being outside, and traveling!
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I’ve loved modeling since I was a little girl! Being in front of the camera has always felt like second nature to me.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to become a Physician Assistant! I can’t wait to finally work in the medical field and do what I love!
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Being your own kind of beautiful is all about loving yourself. Beauty is about embracing every part of who you are. When you learn to love yourself, you are able to see your true beauty.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would describe my style as both cute and comfortable. I like experimenting with different colors, patterns, and styles of clothing.
Who or what inspires you?
My parents inspire me everyday. They came to America not knowing English and sacrificed a lot for my success. They have taught me that you can do anything you set your mind to.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Trust the process and just have fun with it!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
I have always struggled with my confidence. I talked down to myself and I didn’t see my worth. A turning point for me was when I noticed that I was unhappy with myself. Since then, I learned to love myself and have my voice heard. My self growth has allowed me to advocate for body positivity. I want other women to know that they are enough and that they should embrace all of their flaws.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I think that my kindness and positivity makes me beautiful. I try to make everybody around me smile when I am around them.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
I would tell them to look in the mirror and say everything that they love about themselves. All of those things make them beautiful inside and out. Learning to love every part of yourself is the key to confidence.
