Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
I am from India and I work as a Machine learning engineer at Google. I am also an author of a very technical book.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I am extremely passionate about modeling, I started with beauty pageants and won Miss Bharat DMV 2021 runners up title last year. I also started collaborating with photographers in the DC Virginia area looking for models. For me modeling is like creating art and my soul lives in the camera.
What is your biggest dream?
My dream is to create art with fashion and photography. I would want to walk the ramp and represent major brands and artists across the globe.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
My own kind of beautiful means being comfortable in your own skin. I always doubted myself before I started modeling that I am too fat and too curvy to be a model. I also belong to a very conservative culture where women are not allowed to express themselves mostly. I want to inspire women to be confident and comfortable in their own skin and break barriers.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Trendy, chic and classy.
Who or what inspires you?
Beauty, art and culture inspires me. I follow men and women who have stepped out of their comfort zone to show their art and passion.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
I would recommend being confident and following your heart. Where there is a will there's a way.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
I lost my father to cancer when I was 26 years old. When you lose a parent that definitely changes you internally.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
My imperfections and accepting myself the way I am makes me beautiful.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
We all have our strengths and weaknesses, I would recommend focusing on the strengths to move ahead.
