Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
My name is Bella Rose Perritt, I am originally from Seattle, Washington. I moved to Florida about 3 months ago, I moved here with my family, my siblings and parents. I am 18 years old and I have a younger brother and sister, along with an older sister. I have always liked modeling and enjoyed being behind the camera, but besides modeling I am a competitive Irish dancer. Irish dance means so much to me and it’s basically my whole life. I’ve been dancing since I was 11 and it’s been something I truly enjoy. Modeling is something I’ve wanted to make more important in my life and maybe make a career with it.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I have only really done freelance modeling for different photographers in my Seattle area. They have all be so much fun and I love having the opportunity to collaborate with different photographers and create something truly amazing. I haven’t really done other modeling experiences besides shoots here and there with photographers, but I would love to do runway or magazine work and so on.
What is your biggest dream?
I want to do something with modeling, travel, walk the runway, be in magazines, and be confident with myself and my work. I have always wanted to make it big in this industry and I’m hoping with joining an agency is where I can start. I also have other dreams with Irish dance but I feel this is more about modeling when I am asked about my dream. Modeling is also just my dream career, doing a job I love is something I would love to have.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
I feel being your own kind of beautiful truly means just being urself. Whoever you are truly is the most beautiful version you can be. Your real, raw, natural self. Modeling opens up the door for self expression and self confidence, you can truly just be yourself and feel comfortable in your own skin.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I truly wear many different styles, I don’t have a set style unfortunately. I wear outfits sometimes based on my mood or what matches my makeup. I love wearing stylized outfits and trying out different looks. Even just going to the grocery store I may dress up just for the opportunity to wear a cool outfit.
Who or what inspires you?
People who truly put effort into everything are the people I look up to. I admire others hard work and always strive to put my best efforts in all that I do. I feel unsatisfied with myself if my best foot isn’t put forward. With modeling I always try and put my best effort and go with whatever comes my way.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
I feel I don’t have too much to give to someone with advice, as I’m new to modeling myself. I just feel the best advice is to be natural and let things flow in the process of taking pictures. You need to let lose, let your self go and be confident with yourself. If you don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera it’s quite hard to let lose and pose. Being comfortable in front of cameras is the first step to modeling, at least for me.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
I have always dealt with anxiety as long as I can remember. I wake up almost every morning with a feeling in my stomach that lingers through the day. I work with my anxiety and it can help me with some things, with getting work done. Modeling is something that doesn’t really spark that anxiety and instead brings me a sense of excitement, and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. Anxiety is something that I deal with on the daily basis but with doing things I enjoy and seeing people I feel comfortable with, I am able to control that anxiety.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I feel my confidence is something that can make me beautiful, I feel when I am confident during a shoot it makes me appear more appealing. I also do love my freckle patch, it is something I’ve always loved about myself, along with my red hair. I also feel honoring someone’s vision with photography makes me feel beautiful and just honored.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
I sometimes don’t know what to tell myself when I look in the mirror and have feelings of insecurity. I just know that everyone has something beautiful about them, whether it’s looks or attitude or a smile, everyone is beautiful. I know that is quite cheesy but I just truly believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way. Everyone is also different, not one person is the same. The differences make us truly beautiful. Embrace what you have as an individual and with confidence and you will always look your best.
