Tell us about yourself:
Hi, my name is Sarah L., I am 17 years old and from Boston, Ma. I am a Junior in high-school here in Boston and I am very lively and social. I love connecting with new people and exploring new places. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach and playing volleyball.
Tell us about your modeling experience:
I do not have any previous modeling experience, but I am so excited to be able to change that now!
What is your biggest dream?:
My biggest dream is to be able to influence young minds for the better and to leave a positive impact on the world. I want to touch as many hearts as possible and I see myself doing that through modeling and travel.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?:
To me, being your own kind of beautiful is being comfortable in your own skin and embracing the features that make you, you. Social media has a certain focus on the perfect girl and they tend to all look alike. I think it’s important to be at peace with yourself and understand that we live in a world that is innately different and imperfect, and all of us as humans reflect that.
How would you describe your fashion style?:
I would describe my fashion style as trendy and girlish. I enjoy embracing my femininity and being confident in it. Athleisure also plays a role in my outfits as I love being comfortable but also knowing that I am looking my best.
What have been your greatest accomplishments?:
I feel like a big accomplishment for me has been getting accepted in the National Honor Society. It has taken a lot of hard work to excel at school and maintain my extra circular activities as well as a job.
Do you have any special talents?:
I can play the violin and I play volleyball as well as basketball.
What makes you beautiful/ handsome?:
I feel like my ambition and focus makes me beautiful. If you’ve ever seen anyone so engrossed and in love with what they do, that would be me. I put 110% in everything I set my mind to, and I have been told that my interest makes me attractive.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?:
I would say what I have recently started saying to myself; one persons beauty does not diminish your own. We all have moments where we feel insufficient, some more than others, and the media is no help, but beauty is whatever you make of it. Embrace your features and realize that they make you unique and nobody else can be you like you can.
