Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add).

My name is Alec Landry and I am a 20 year old female from Swampscott, Massachusetts which is right outside of Boston. I have danced for 18 years and am a full time fashion design major at The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. 

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My modeling experience stems from prom dress modeling and becoming a brand ambassador for Alexandras Boutique in Fall River, Massachusetts.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to become a fashion model and designer.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Staying true to yourself and your values is what makes you your own type of beautiful.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I have always had an eye for fashion and would consider my style to be trendy but with my own personal flare.

Who or what inspires you?

My inspiration is Hannah Meloche, a youtube vlogger and model. She inspires me because she continues to be a full time college student, fashion icon, and youtuber.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

For new models, be yourself and do not be scared to stand out from the crowd. Do some research for inspiration poses from other models you look up to.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Something that I have struggled with for the past few years is my chronic illness, Ulcerative Colitis. This is a disease that I will have forever and it continues to effect me daily. I will never let my disease get the best of me and I plan to make the best life for myself.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

To girls my age, you are beautiful in your own way and never let anyone else tell you something different.
