    Tell us about yourself.

I’m Janna (pronounced Yana, it's German), I am 20 years old and I live on Cape Cod. I speak German fluently and I’m a dancer in hip hop and ballet. In my free time I like to write and read.

 What is your biggest dream?

I hope to become a professional writer/blogger and possibly write for The New York Times or Boston Globe.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be unapologetically you, to not worry about social norms and live uniquely.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I haven’t had much experience; however, I would love to gain more and possibly become a professional model.

What is your dream brand to model for?

I would love to model for Calvin Klein, H&M and Dolls Kill. There are other brands as well but those are my top three.

How would you describe your fashion style

I can go from 80’s mom to fashionably late look. I love the classier looks and love to wear dresses whenever I have the chance.

How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?

It’s very important to me, because if you’re confident on the inside you’ll be confident on the outside.

   What makes you beautiful?

What I think makes me beautiful are my blue eyes, my legs, my collarbones and my personality. However, I believe that anything and everything can be beautiful, and our physical features don’t have to define our beauty.

What would you say to another girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?

To whoever is low on confidence; there is no need to feel like you aren’t beautiful. No one should judge the way you are made; you shouldn’t judge the way you were made. Everyone is built uniquely; everyone has their special way of being beautiful and that you are. No one is built to look the same and being different then the norm of them all makes you so much more beautiful. Confront your demons, do what others say that you can’t, step up to the plate and be who you want to be. No one is holding you back and your beauty is only defined by how you carry yourself in your skin. Be proud of all that you are and shut down all the negativity in your life. Don’t worry about what others think, if something makes you happy then you should do it and become it. I hope you will be strong enough to realize that it’s all in your mind and that you are uniquely beautiful.
