Isabella M.
Tell us about yourself.
Hi! My name is Bella, and I'm a 17 year old model based out of Boston. I'm thrilled to have just signed with HN models! In my free time, I enjoy going for runs, traveling, and finding new great books to read.
What is your biggest dream?
As cliche as it sounds, being happy is what I amount success to. For me, that looks like finding something that I'm passionate about and having the privilege to do that every day of my life.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
To ignore those silly societal standards that are set in place for what "beauty" looks like, and choosing instead to embrace what you see in the mirror! Our world is hard enough, and being overly critical of ourself helps nobody.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I've done some professional shoots before, to test my comfort levels in front of the camera, however they were not for a specific brand/company. Coming from a childhood from acting, I was signed into Boston Casting Agency around age 11, to see if commercial acting could be right for me.
What is your dream brand to model for?
Lounge swim! I love the effortless comfy, flattering and feminine pieces it puts out.
How would you describe your fashion style?
It varies- but often times, you'll see me in a boho-casual style, usually throwing a flowy minidress on- especially in this summer heat!
How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?
Crucial! I've improved over the years with it, and I've found the effects of being aware of and content with yourself so important. It helps remind you of the important things, and treating others with respect leads to respect for yourself.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
Externally, I like to think my eyes draw people in. You can express so much through your eyes- watch them when you smile! Internally, I love to take things lightly, and I think people appreciate that and it's refreshing to take a minute to laugh with someone.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Your thoughts and struggles are valid, but also remember that you are not alone! Everyone- everyone- has had at least one time in their life where they've wanted to change something about themselves. Focus on the things you adore about yourself, and with time they'll outweigh the so-called imperfections!
