Tell us about yourself:

I am from a little town in Kansas called Ottawa. I am 19 and currently in my junior year of college at Ottawa University. My major is art with a minor in business and leadership.

Tell us about your modeling experience:

I have been a freelance model for 5 years in the KC area. I have done shows in my state as well as surrounding areas. I joined a model team and started to grow my knowledge from there!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream in life is to travel. I love experiencing new things and learning about new cultures. I want to see what the world has to offer in my lifetime.

What does it mean to be your own kid of beautiful?

What it means to be my own kind of beautiful is my love for the world and others. I believe beautiful people exist in the world that are also kind and beautiful to others.

How would you describe your fashion style:

My fashion style is based on how I’m feeling for the day. Sometimes I have more inspiration than other days. My go to are hoodies and shorts but I LOVE a little black dress!

Who or what inspires you?

I have a few inspirations in the fashion industry. This would include Bella hadid, coco Rocha, and Naomi Campbell. I am also inspired by my mom, she has given me a lot of the confidence I have today!

What advice would you give someone who is just getting started in the modeling industry?

Some advice I would give to someone just starting out at modeling would be to shoot your shot! If you miss try again! There will be someone who appreciates you and what you have to offer!!

What are some obstacles you have overcome in you life and how have they changed you?

I have overcome many obstacles in my life. I was put under the guardianship of my grandparents at an early age. During school I had a hard time finding friends and people who I could just talk to. When entering college my grandparents divorced and really took a toll on me. What I did realize though is that only you have control of your future. And there’s no time to sit around and be sad about what did not happen. I learned to appreciate what I have and what I can do for myself to improve.

What makes you beautiful?

What makes me beautiful is the love I carry for others. I see the good in every person and care so deeply about the people around me. I believe my care and respect for others shows on the outside.

What would you say to someone who is struggling with their confidence?

If someone my age is struggling with confidence I would tell them that they are beautiful just the way you are. You cannot change yourself so you must learn to love the body you are in!
