Tell us about yourself.

My Name is Chanelle Bubb and I am 26 years old, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina and grew up with two loving, hard working parents. My mother modeled in England for a little bit when she was younger and came over to America with my father and got a finance degree. My father builds youth soccer clubs from the ground up and both my brother and I played in college. I played for the University of North Florida and got my Biomed degree there, while my brother played for UNF, Virginia Tech, then finally for UCF at the end of his college career. Now he plays professionally for the Tampa Bay Rowdies. I am about to finish up my second Bachelor`s degree for nursing at Florida State University and am extremely excited living down here in Tampa and working with the Hannah Noelle agency!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I started modeling three years ago and have never looked back. I have walked in Miami Swim week twice (once for Krissy King The label), Vogue Model management, Jacksonville Fashion week, Tallahassee Bridal expo and many other runway shows. I have also been published in multiple magazines, including La Modele,  CON magazine, ect, and I’m looking to grow and learn more and more as a model.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream for modeling would probably be to walk in New York Fashion, model for Sports Illustrated and be pretty well known in the modeling and fashion community, while also inspiring young girls and showing that they can be whoever they want to be, they just got to believe in themselves.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I believe everyone has beauty within them. Everyone is unique and anyone can shine, the biggest obstacle to overcome for a lot of people (including me when I was younger) is confidence. To be your own kind of beauty is too look at everything that is unique about you and to glow with confidence and pride for it and to not let anyone diminish you or tell you that you are anything but who you are, which is beautiful and strong! Own who you are and be proud of it!

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style can be pretty broad. I love a sportswear fashion style and also beachy girl fashion such as swim wear, but also love to either have a cute country chic fashion style or you also can not go wrong with an elegant minimalistic look as well.

Who or what inspires you?

The biggest people that inspire me each day are my parents. Their hard work and love that they have shown day in and day out for my brother and I pushes me everyday to be the best me I can be. A model who inspires me is Taylor Hill. I love her style and I love her platform just recently on helping with spreading awareness and supporting pets who are battling cancer. I love how she is using her platform and trying to make a difference in the world.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Do not let anyone tell you you can not do it. Everyone has their own unique beauty, you just have to find your style and go for it!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Some obstacles I have had to come is when I was in college I had three knee surgeries, that I had to fight my way back to play college soccer again, which I finally did my senior year after being out for three and a half years. Another obstacle I had to overcome from my childhood was confidence. When I was a young child I got made fun of for being a little chubby. Going through that at a young age made me a little meek and shy through middle school and high school not having very much confidence in myself. As I got into my 20s that is when I started realizing that the only thing I was missing was confidence. Once I realized that, it took me a long way from where I used to be as a kid. That’s why I am a true believer in people just believing in themselves and just seeing how far they can truly go. It is very freeing and exhilarating once you gain your own confidence!

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

There is a lot of physical characteristics that could be listed, but the things that really stand out to me is my kindness, my empathy, my ambition/ drive and also the confidence within myself. I think those are what make me beautiful as a human being inside and out.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I understand! It took me some time and some training on redirecting my thoughts from having a cynical outlook on myself to one of adoration and pride. Biggest advice I would say is keep pushing! Keep working on getting rid of those negative thoughts, keep working getting a better outlook on yourself whether its writing three things down every morning on what you like about yourself or every time you have a negative thought about yourself think of three positive ones. Whatever you do do not quit on building your confidence! Once you start building that confidence you feel a world of a difference!
