Tell us about yourself
I’m 22 years old and from Atlanta, Georgia! I graduated from Auburn University with a BFA in Studio Art, and when I’m not on the runway I’m up in my studio painting! Growing up, I loved to go take pictures with my friends, and in the back of my head I always felt like I was meant to be in front of the camera in one way or another. In high school I was a theater kid and adored being on stage, so when I got to college I made the transition from the stage to the runway and haven’t looked back since!
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I have been professionally modeling for a little over four years now. Most recently, I walked for four designers during Miami Swim Week, which was such an incredible experience and I can’t wait to go back next year! I also walked for Loren Elizabeth Design's Fall 2022 Resort Wear collection and was selected to become the face of her website which was truly such an honor. Also, I did a promotional campaign shoot and was featured on a billboard in my hometown of Atlanta. It was such a mind-blowing experience to see myself on a billboard, and that was the first time I really felt like I could take my modeling to the next level.
What is your biggest dream?
In general, I just want to make the most of this incredible gift I’ve been given and take advantage of it for as long as I’m able. I want to look back one day and be so proud of everything I accomplished. I would die of happiness if I was selected to walk for New York Fashion Week, and maybe one day Milan and Paris!
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Knowing who you are deep down, and just being unapologetically yourself in everything that you say and do. Even if people don’t like you, and not everyone will like you, they can at least respect you for being authentic.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I love anything that sparkles, it doesn’t matter what it is. I’m like a moth that’s drawn to anything that shines. I’m never scared of being overdressed, and it’s my goal to always walk out of the house feeling fabulous. If I know I look good, then I feel amazing for the rest of the day. In general, I would say my style is somewhere between glamourous and edgy.
Who or what inspires you?
Since I’m an artist by trade, I’m often inspired by paintings! I look at a lot of different pieces to help me build a story with my modeling. I want to become a work of art with my body as the canvas.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Learn your face and your favorite angles! Practicing poses in the mirror helps tremendously to build muscle memory. Practice your runway walk in heels as much as you can in front of a mirror, or even record yourself, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ll improve!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
Growing up, I’ve dealt with many people who have claimed they were my friends for years, but in reality were praying for my downfall due to their own insecurities. The biggest lesson I’ve had to learn is that people who really are your friends shouldn’t want to compete with you, and no matter how long you’ve been friends, if the friendship has been poisoned by jealousy there’s no turning back. You shouldn’t feel like you have to dull your shine to make someone else happy about themself!
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
It’s the way you enter a room and how you carry yourself! It doesn’t matter how you feel about yourself that day, if you walk into a room like you own it, people will notice.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Honestly just fake it until you make it, as cliche as that is. Nobody can tell the difference. In reality, people are not as fixated on you as you are on yourself—consider how you observe others! Thinking about yourself from a third-person perspective helps your brain to realize it’s not that deep!
