Tell us about yourself
I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana then moved to a southern small town right outside of New Orleans named Covington, Louisiana. I am 29 years old. I am an Esthetician. I love all things skincare, beauty and helping people feel confident within themselves as well. Growing up I loved fashion and clothes. I would always love to shop as well and still do to this day. My friends always tell me I should be a personal stylist since I am really good at putting outfits together, but I will just stick to the modeling side of things.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I started out competing for Miss Louisiana USA for 2 years then I did Miss Lafayette USA after that which I fell in love with pageantry after the whole experience of it all with walking on the runway, the photoshoots but then again there is so much more than just that when it comes to pageants too just like there is modeling. When I aged out of pageantry, I still wanted to do modeling since it is something that I have always enjoyed doing and it is passion of mine so last year I signed with NYMMG I got a few little local jobs here and there which were print jobs. I am also getting to walk in New Orleans Fashion Week as well.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream would probably be to get booked more big named brand/designer print work. I would also love to walk in New York Fashion Week as well.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
I absolutely love this question! I believe your own kind of beautiful is when you feel confidently beautiful within yourself from the inside out and love who you are as a person.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is really girlie, so I love anything with prints, florals, puff sleeves, etc. I also love chic style clothing as well.
Who or what inspires you?
Audrey Hepburn inspires me because she's a classy woman and has poise.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Have fun with it and be yourself too. Also, post on your social media platforms regularly, that will help out a lot to as well. Stay up to date on your photos. Apply to agencies and reach out to people in the modeling community to network that will help with bookings too! Just as long as yourself and having fun it will all come to you and if your putting in the work as well!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
I was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2010. I am now 11 years seizure free with being on controlled medication. I am very grateful and blessed for that. At first it was very hard for me to find the right medication that would work best with my type of epilepsy, but my doctors finally found one that worked, and it has been like a miracle ever since then. Yes, I still have a seizure disorder and yes I have to be careful and mindful with what I do so I don't trigger one but I still can live a normal life like everybody else which I am so very thankful for that and it has made me stronger by overcoming all of those fears too knowing that okay I do have this seizure disorder but still can live a normal lifestyle which I am beyond blessed.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
What makes me beautiful is my kindness and giving back to others.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
What I would say to a girl/guy struggling with their confidence that you are beautiful. You have a divine unique purpose in this world that no one else has expect you so to live your life to the fullest with happiness. God hand picked you and created you. That is a gift and it’s something very special as well so live out that special gift and blessing that you are to the world and let your light shine as well because you are beautiful in every way!
