Tell us about yourself

My name is Eryn S. and I was born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. I just turned 19 years old and I am currently attending college. I enjoy spending time riding horses and creating any form of art!

- Tell us about your modeling experience.

I attended Barbzion’s modeling and acting classes for 6 months. I am currently set to travel to Florida in July to walk runways at passport to discovery. I have had many photoshoots done with local and bigger photographers and learned to be comfortable in front of a camera.

- What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to save lives. I want to continue in my degree and attend medical school to become a doctor. Although modeling in big shows and shoot is one of my biggest dreams, saving lives always tops it.

- What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I believe my own kind of beautiful is the ability to uplift others. It has nothing to do with looks but more about kindness and positivity. Showing compassion is the most beautiful to me.

- How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is very all over the place. I love dressing uniquely and out of the box. My current favorite fashion piece is long skirts and baggy jeans. I am also obsessed with platform shoes and other cool shoes.

- Who or what inspires you?

My parents inspire me everyday. My mother works so hard everyday to provide for my family and I will forever be grateful. She makes me believe I can achieve anything.

- What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Just be patient. The journey to becoming a model isn’t linear. It is not always easy but your hard work will pay off!

- Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

When I left middle school I developed a very severe eating disorder. My body image was destroyed by the people I surrounded myself with. Being tall, I was always getting comments on how big I looked and how different I looked from my friends. After about a year of battling anorexia, I found friends that pushed me to do better. I went through recovery and learned to love myself for who I am. Now that I am at a healthy weight, I have never loved myself more. I am confident in my skin and can now uplift other and teach them to love themselves as well.

- What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My loved ones make me feel the most beautiful. Surrounding myself around positivity and love makes me feel so good.

- What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would say fake it till you make it. It is okay to have off days and not feel great about yourself. We are all human with these feelings. What helped me is continuously telling myself “I don’t care what they think about me” and soon it became a reality. The more I said it, the more I actually started not caring. That’s when I truly found my self confidence.
