Tell us about yourself

I'm Scarlett F. Raised on Long Island, NY, then made a move to Southern Maine at 18. I am currently pursuing marketing at College in Massachusetts. Beyond academics, I'm an avid dancer and stay active by teaching dance, Pilates, and going to the gym. My vibrant My personality, passion for pink, and love for assisting others drive me. With lifelong encouragement to model, I finally took the leap into my modeling career.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My journey into modeling commenced just over a year ago, guided by the expertise of my local photographer, Stewart Smith. Since then, I've had the privilege of modeling for various boutiques and have established collaborations with other talented photographers in the area.

What is your biggest dream?

My greatest dream is to make it onto the pages of Vogue magazine and achieve the prestigious status of a Victoria's Secret Angel and walk in Miami Swim Week. Equally, I aspire to walk down the runways and commercials representing renowned designer labels like Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Versace, Calvin Klein, and Louis Vuitton.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Embracing your unique beauty is about being authentically yourself and not comparing yourself to others. True beauty emanates from within, reflecting your energy, kindness, and self-love. Each person has their own distinct perception of beauty, and remember, you are the only you there is, making your uniqueness a beautiful aspect of who you are.

How would you describe your fashion style?

When I'm not sporting my athletic wear, my deep-rooted passion for fashion comes to life. My style, inspired by my mom's impeccable fashion sense, leans towards refined and elegant style. You'll often find me dressed in elegant white and nude tones, with a pop of pink, as I thoroughly enjoy finding a reason to dress up and elevating my look with heels.

Who or what inspires you?

My greatest source of inspiration is undoubtedly my mother. She has consistently been my unwavering supporter and has played a pivotal role in shaping me into the person I am today. Her life has been a living testament to the power of hard work and persistence in achieving one's dreams. Interestingly, she also had a past as a model!

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

For anyone embarking on a modeling journey, my key advice is simple: Never give up! Confidence is your greatest asset; strive to turn your dreams into reality and let your true self shine. In my early days, I struggled with camera shyness, so my suggestion is to collaborate with photographers and even practice with friends to enhance your comfort in front of the lens.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Two years ago, I hit rock bottom, overwhelmed by anxiety that made even stepping outside a daunting task. The constant worry about others' opinions took a toll, resulting in pain, sadness, and health issues. It was the unwavering support of my sisters, parents and friends that became my lifeline, teaching me the true meaning of unconditional love. Their love became the catalyst for my self-love journey. I discovered activities that brought me joy and eventually ventured into the world of modeling. Through this process, I unearthed a profound self-love that transformed my life. Today, I stand confident, filled with joy, and in the best of health. This obstacle, as challenging as it was, shaped me into the confident and content person I am now.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

The essence of my beauty is rooted in my self-assured demeanor. In the most challenging of circumstances, I remain a steadfast optimist, consistently uncovering the positives. My exceptional listening skills have left a lasting positive impact on those I meet. It's been said that when I enter a room, my presence is captivating, radiating a unique glow that doesn't go unnoticed. This, to me, is the very definition of my beauty.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

This is your life, and you have the power to shape it the way you want. Life is too short to be consumed by the opinions of others. If confidence eludes you, remember that sometimes, by pretending to be confident, you can transform into the confident person you aspire to be. The best version of yourself resides within, waiting for you to tap into it. Make eye contact when you speak, celebrate the small victories throughout your day, and always refrain from negative self-talk. Be especially kind, both to yourself and to others. Set achievable daily goals for yourself, and each time you accomplish them, you'll boost your confidence as you prove to yourself that you are capable.
