Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Maria Aguirre, I like to go by Nini, I am a young Mexican American in pursue of my biggest dream; modeling. I believe hard work and optimism can grant one great opportunities.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My modeling experience so far has taught me so much about the industry, I have managed to get modeling jobs independently and have been signed with BMG models Chicago, and hope to continue striving  and learning more of what the modeling world has to offer.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to conquer the modeling world, particularly in high fashion, I wish to work hard enough to become a super model and gain a platform to when my voice will matter and have doors opened to me, to be able to make a difference.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

In my opinion to be your own kind of beautiful means that you are not afraid to be your most authentic self and achieve it with carrying kindness in your heart and a smile on your face, even when it may seem tough, that’s the true beauty of it to me.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I don’t think I have an exact label for my fashion style, I like to keep it fairly simple, but always adding a twist, whether it’s a pop of color or an eclectic piece of jewelry or art to my wardrobe,  but I can say with certainty that my style is my own.

Who or what inspires you?

As cliché as it might sound,  my family truly inspires me. I have personally witnessed through them that anything in this life is possible, family is really my greatest motivation, they inspire me to be my best self.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to someone staring with modeling is, not to give up, and stay active and healthy, it will without doubt bring out a glow in you.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I am first generation of immigrant parents and although it has granted me a great sense of gratefulness, it is definitely a lifestyle that comes with many obstacles, I have overcome it with what I consider one of my greatest virtues, which is optimism, I have subconsciously  learned how to be compassionate towards all human life.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My heart makes me beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

What I would say to another girl/ guy my age struggling with confidence, is that it’s completely normal and it’s okay, you are not alone , confidence is gained within, for example I believe it can be as simple as listening to someone and giving them hope and a genuine smile, it can do extraordinary things not only to their confidence, but your own.
