Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add) 

I’m a 21 years old licenced cosmetologist, college student, and content creator. As a creator, I love to travel and experience different cultures! I’ve visited 8 countries and over 10 states. I grew up in a small country called Cambodia and have been in the U.S. for 11 years now. As an active, ambitious, and self-motivated individual with exceptional people skills. I can perform well in diverse environments due to my high energy level while working effectively in team settings as well as independently.  

Tell us about your modeling experience. 

I attended a modeling school when I was between the age of 17-18 and have acquired many skills. Of course, there’s still much to learn. I used those skills to focus on building my portfolio with freelance artists in my local area and as well as out of state. I’ve been a freelance model for about 2 years now before signing with the agency. 

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to attend a runway show where a height requirement isn’t necessary. I believe it’s not ideal for women who love fashion to be limited by the experience due to something that they can’t control. 

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be a good model, you must understand the differences in the quality you bring to others. Knowing that your confidence can impact others in a good way is how you should pursue yourself. Accepting your image is one of the best ways to start being your own kind of beautiful. 

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is flexible. Of course, society is ever so changing and understanding what’s updated is important. Different occasions also determine what style I should wear unless I’m in the mood to stand out. I am a fan of layering and having the classic chic look. 

Who or what inspires you?

My greatest inspiration is my past self. Understanding where I came from and achieving great things in my current lifestyle is what strives me to pursue even greater goals beyond me because I know it’s what my future self would want. 

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice would be to not have one “No” impact on how to go on with your future goals. If something is really your passion then allowing that to determine your self worth and value is not something that this type of industry will provide. 

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

My greatest obstacle is always trying to prove myself. Growing up from a third world country and being a first generation student, there’s an unspoken idea that you have to be successful or you’ll be looked down upon. So, always having that pressure is something that I’m still working on and not having it determine what I want in my life. 

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I believe that it’s my quality in personality, outlook on life and people, and overall appearance in how I portray myself. 

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Confidence is your opinion in how you want others to view you. If you set forth everyday as if you have a quality that others do not, little by little, you’ll learn to appreciate those qualities within yourself. No one can take that outlook away, especially, if you truly start to believe it.
