Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
Hey, I’m Lauren! I’m 18 years old and I’m from Culpeper, Virginia. I love to run and snowboard, and I’m stoked to be attending Colorado State University with a major in wildlife biology.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
Although I lack modeling experience, I am eager to learn and work diligently to get to where I need to be.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to travel the world. I love seeing new places and experiencing new cultures.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Being your own kind of beautiful means embracing your own uniqueness. The idea that we all should look like one societal standard of beauty is total bogus! Our distinct features are what make us different, and being confident in those features makes you even more beautiful.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would describe my fashion style as early 2000’s inspired. I really look up to some of the icons of that time, like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.
Who or what inspires you?
Nature inspires me. Being and connecting with nature allows me to organize my thoughts and get clear on my priorities and aspirations.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
My advice to someone who has just started modeling is to be brave and to keep an open mind.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome and how that has changed or shaped you.
Anxiety has been a major obstacle that I have overcome in life. My anxiety affected my mental and physical health, grades in school, and performances in sports. I am so thankful that I learned how to overcome my anxiety without medication. To manage it, I have taken up stress relieving habits that work for me, such as distance running, meditating, and spending more time in nature.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
My energy makes me beautiful. I do my best to radiate positivity and uplift everyone around me, and love to see others laugh and smile.
What would you say to another guy/girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?
If someone was struggling with their confidence, I would tell them that sometimes our biggest insecurities are actually what others admire the most about us.
