My name is Kendyl Neill. I am 23 years old. I am from the mountains of North Carolina. I have always enjoyed being active and outdoors.I also love to travel and see new places. I am working on my masters degree from Mississippi State University. I am so grateful this opportunity.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I have had little gigs here and there. I have done a lot of photoshoots with wedding boutiques.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to compete at Miss USA and walk at NY Fashion Week.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Being your own kind of beautiful means to be and live in a way that makes you feel the most confident. Your definition of beautiful maybe different from mine and that is okay, that is what makes you BEAUTIFUL. Do not let anyone tell you are not.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My sense of fashion is defiantly classy and chic. I love to dress up and make a statement where ever I go. This could be in activewear, dresses, or everyday fashion attire.
Who or what inspires you?
The thing that inspires me the most is my goal of trying to everyday be the best version of myself. I want to go to bed each night knowing I gave that day my best and tried my hardest at it. This inspires me because I know that there is always someone watching and I want them to know that they can do and achieve anything they want just like I do if you work at it.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
DO NOT GIVE UP! If this is your dream, GO FOR IT 100%. Give it your all and it will not return void.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
One obstacle that I have overcome was paying for my college debt free on my own. This was not easy. Looking back now it was so worth it. I wouldn’t trade that experience for the world because that is what taught me how strong I truly was. It was a hard time but it was one of the best times.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
The fact that my goal is to make someone else smile. I love seeing people happy. It is amazing how just smiling at someone can make their whole day. It is important that we try this each day instead of causing the opposite.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Stop comparing yourself to others. When you are lacking confidence its because you are comparing your life, your body, your job, anything you have to someone else and that is toxic. Its vital that we remove all the toxic things from our lives.
