Tell us about your modeling experience.
My modeling experience well ever since I have been young I was always about taking pictures and writing I loved being in front of the camera. When I was 15 my parents took me to a barbizon event in my city and I got a lot of compliments of my style how my hair was done , how my mom took pictures of me and the way I posed they thought I was very experienced. I did that for a little bit but being in high school your studies are more important. When I was 18 I had applied to peak agency in Des Moines they put me on a waiting list to be called back as being in the Midwest it’s a lot harder to become a model seeing as theirs not a lot of jobs. So I kept trying and just keeping focusing on my goals as I was just becoming an adult. In 2017 I did my first fitness and boudoir shoot as I struggled with being skinny and when I got to a weight and a point I was proud of I wanted to do a big shoot to show my progress. Then in 2018 I was 23 a fitness magazine for women who was local and just starting contacted me on Instagram and seen how much I was into fitness and influencing and progressing they asked me to be in their magazine for June 2018 edition so I was so blessed to have that opportunity to be in one even if it’s something small I was in a magazine! Then in 2020 I competed in Miss Jet set magazine competition I was so close to winning and being in something that required you to be on social media and learning to network to get votes, and experience others and to get yourself out there also did help and teach me things even if I didn’t win. So being able to have this opportunity to continue working on myself and working towards a dream is priceless.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream honestly is to be genuinely happy with myself and life. I want to know I did everything I could to become successful and happy not miss out on anything. I love to travel and experience new things. I love to see how far I can go. I know I’m capable of so many things. If I could make my dream of becoming a model as well as maybe opening a business someday and continue my career path while influencing others and empowering women then that’s what I would enjoy doing.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Well to me to be your own kind of beautiful means to love yourself unconditionally. To Embrace being your own kind of unique beauty, To be comfortable in your own skin and have self confidence to not fear of being capable of all the things you can do.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My style is definitely unique I like to dress according to occasion and mood so it all depends but I love to get all dolled up go out somewhere.
Who or what inspires you?
My mom inspires me. She’s such a strong woman she definitely pushes me to my limits and always supports me. She’s my biggest fan and hero.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
My advice is to never give up. Life throws you curves but you learn to swerve. We all have dreams big or small. It’s not always about fast you are gonna get to your dreams but the experience getting there. Don’t get down on yourself because you think you only made it so far your so much more capable of things you don’t even know of. When you see a opportunity that may seem so small take it you want your foot in the door, we all have to start somewhere. That will only lead to bigger things.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
When I was 20 I have gotten out of a bad relationship of 3 years that my first one being so young and getting out of something like that you really grow in so many ways. I learned my self more who I wanted to be even in general with becoming older and where I wanted to be. I struggled being so skinny and developed anxiety. When I got out of that situation I looked to going to the gym I started lifting and teaching myself again and eating more and better finding what i could do to make changes and the progress began. Others starting noticing my parents how my mood changed how was becoming more happier and more confident in my own body. I learned to control my anxiety and stress. Fitness was an escape it helped me mentally, physically and emotionally.
I was so depressed and self conscious being able to get out of that and grow and better myself and get to where I am makes me feel good and proud that I can do anything. It shaped me and out look on life, relationships and friendships showed me what I don’t want and do. Showed me what I could handle and go through to become wiser and stronger.
What makes you beautiful/ handsome?
What makes me beautiful is simply being ME. Being my audacious, compassionate, down to earth, loving, funny, courageous self. My hard work ethic and independence. My self growth and love.
What would you say to another guy/girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?
What would I say to someone who was struggling with self confidence? I would say don’t stop bettering yourself, keep doing what is best for you. Always know you have your best interest. Your beautiful/handsome no matter what never invest into what others may say that is negative about you. Only your opinion matters. You may feel like you won’t ever get out of the funk you are in, but I promise you, you will it may take time but timing is everything. One day at a time. You will find what works and helps you best. Just remember to always stay true to yourself!
