Tell us about yourself.

Hi! My name is Alisandra, I am 18 years old and from Rancho Cucamonga, CA. It is considered a part of the IE and about 45 mins- 1 hour away from LA depending on traffic. In my free time, I love to travel, try new foods, spend time with friends and family, listen to music and I deeply enjoy learning new things.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I just recently immersed myself into modeling and building my portfolio. I have always been interested in modeling since I was a little girl, as I would see pictures of girls on magazines that I loved and in runway shows and billboards in big cities that I would travel to. They have always piqued my interest! Since I was young, I have always been told by family and friends that I could model due to my looks (since I am a relatively tall, thin girl). This only added to my motivation to pursue modeling, which is why I'm so excited to be a part of Hannah Noelle.  I have done a few photoshoots in the past, and I am so excited to further my modeling career and gain as much experience as I can!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to work with household brands in fashion such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and more and establish myself as a successful model in print and possible runway so I can be comfortable financially! And of course, to have access to the finer things in life.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me, what it means to be your own kind of beautiful is to be comfortable and genuinely happy in your own skin. Confidence is key, and what you give to the outside world is what you will receive back. Everyone is different, and our imperfections and unique attributes are what makes each and everyone of us beautiful.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style ranges from a number of different looks. Sometimes I opt for streetwear, other times I lean towards a chic, trendy vibe, and when I dress up I love an elegant, classic look.

Who or what inspires you?

My parents inspire me everyday. They push me to always try my hardest in everything I do and they are the reason I have such a drive to be successful in all my endeavours.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

I would tell anyone interested in becoming a model to go out and get it! Be a go-getter, they are the people that turn their dreams into reality. I would also say to put yourself out there! Be open to working with multiple photographers and brands because you will become more experienced. Be your biggest supporter and critic! Always be open to ways to improve your craft and accept constructive criticism because it will only make you better. Lastly, be authentic and never feel like you have to change yourself for anybody! Those who truly see your value will accept you for who you are.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Recently, I have been through quite a lot this past year. 2020 has affected thousands of people across the world, but I would say the senior class of 2020 was dealt one of the worst cards last year. Unfortunately, I was not able to have prom or a graduation ceremony due to COVID-19. I don't think I ever will. I had my last day of high school without even knowing it. I was cheated out of my freshman year of college, where I did not get the first year of college experience that I was looking forward to. I ended up having to stay in my hometown one more year than expected and attend college online. This all took a toll on my mental health, as I have never gone through anything this big and out of my control before. However, this has helped shape my character in a way I never thought it would. I have learned that I am stronger than I ever thought I was. If I can get through a global pandemic and miss out on milestone events, surely I can handle anything else that comes my way. I wouldn't be the person I am today had I not gone through these events.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me beautiful is my character and confidence in myself. I believe looks only get someone so far, what truly makes someone beautiful is how they treat others and their personality.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I used to struggle with my confidence as well. You have to teach yourself to love yourself. Don't focus on the parts of yourself that you dislike so much, shift your focus to your attributes that you do love about yourself. Also, stop caring what other people think about you. The second you do, your perception of yourself will change once you stop looking at yourself through other people's eyes. It takes time, but once you finally reach that feeling of truly loving yourself, your inner confidence will shine through and make you glow.
