Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Alexis Williams! I am 14 years old and 5’9 feet tall. I have a identical twin sister, we look exactly alike. She is my best friend

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I am new to modeling! But I am eager to learn every single technique to better myself. Modeling has always been a passion of mine.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be a successful model and actor! I want to walk in fashion shows all around the world. I want to work for influential clothing brands. But most importantly I want to make my mother proud and help other girls and boys with their confidence!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful means to be beautiful for yourself. Your beauty isn’t defined by what others think, or society’s unrealistic beauty standards. Simply being you is beautiful. Being your own kind of beautiful starts with loving yourself.

Who or what inspires you?

My inspiration in life is my mother. She is the strongest woman I have ever met. She supports and encourages my sister and I dreams. She raised me to be respectful and made me the person I am today. Everything I have have gotten in life, I owe it all to her.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to someone just starting to model, is to love yourself. The modeling industry can be rough to models who aren’t the exact beauty standard. So to a new model I would say, know your worth, know how beautiful you are. Know your talent.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

A obstacle in my life that I have overcome is not knowing my self worth and that I was beautiful. I was bullied growing up for being biracial. Because I was mixed people thought I was different. Kids thought I should pick a side of what I race I wanted to be. For a while I was angry for not just being “normal”. Once I overcame these obstacles and figured out that I didn’t have to fit into society’s definition of normal. I began to love my self and accept who I was.

What makes you beautiful/handsome

What makes me beautiful is my personality. Beauty isn’t just on the outside. What is on the inside is what matters. I have a kind and caring personality. I love and accept everyone for who they are. I treat others how I want to be treated. To be beautiful you have to be understanding and sympathetic to others and their situations. Don’t judge people because you never know what’s going on, instead help them. This is what makes me beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would say to another guy or girl my age who is struggling with their confidence- Don’t compare yourself to other people. Everyone is beautiful and unique in their own way. Just because you don’t fit into society’s ridiculous beauty standards doesn’t mean you aren’t beautiful. If you don’t look like everyone else that’s okay your beautiful in your own way. You don’t have to be skinny or have blond hair to be beautiful, you should have confidence and love yourself because you are you.
