Hi! My name is Mikelle I’m from Wellsburg West Virginia, I’m 17 years old. I have danced for for 7 years and have competed in pageantry for 4. I started modeling June of 2020 and I love it more than I can even express!
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I first started modeling in pageantry then I became an ambassador for Model Week Pittsburgh which kickstarted my love for modeling.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to be able to show the world that you don’t have to look, dress, or act a certain way to be beautiful.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Everyone has their own view of what beauty truly is but for me being beautiful is being confident. Beauty stems from the inside and can be shown on the outside.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would say that my style is mostly on trend but I will never pass up an opportunity to wear sweatpants!
Who or what inspires you?
There are so many inspirational people in my life but the person that inspires me the most is my aunt Kourtney. She always guides me in the right direction without fail!
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Just be you! You don’t always have to fit in. Be comfortable being you no matter what, then your confidence will shine through!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
Having a split family was always a struggle for me when I was younger, but now that I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that it truly helped me mature and grow into the person I am now.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I believe that my smile makes me beautiful. I think that happiness is the most beautiful thing in the world, so I know that when I’m wearing a smile I truly am beautiful.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Find yourself and become comfortable with the person you are. If you’re not happy with yourself become the person you want to be, once you love yourself you’ll be unstoppable!
