My name is Ivory Robinson. I am 22 years old. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am currently enrolled in an EMT program so I plan to become certified within the next few months and begin working as an EMT.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I don't have a lot of modeling experience. As a child I have gone to a few different talent/modeling agencies but nothing really came of it.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to live in another country for at least 2 years and learn the native language. I love to travel, love eating different foods from other countries, and being exposed to other cultures.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Being your own kind of beautiful to me means being comfortable with yourself and truly doing what makes you happy.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would describe fashion style as a mix of everything. I tend to dress based on my mood. Sometimes if I'm not feeling as confident on a particular day I will wear certain things to boost my confidence, such as hoop earrings or even a boot with a small heel.
Who or what inspires you?
Music inspires me. Some of my favorite songs helps me imagine and brings me new creative ideas.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
My advice to someone who is just getting started in the modeling industry is to not let other people's opinions get to you. The modeling industry is very competitive and you're going to deal with more rejection than progression. In those instances try not to take it personally.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
One major obstacle that I have had to overcome in my life is low self esteem. At an early age I struggled with this the most. During my teenager years I learned to overcome this by involving myself in unsafe situations. Being in these situations really forced me to love myself more because I didn't like how I was being treated and I needed to make that change. So I did :)
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
My personality is what makes me beautiful.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
If I had to give advice to another girl/guy my age who is struggling with their confidence I would tell them to write down daily affirmations or at least 3 things that they love about themselves and say it out loud in front of the mirror. It really helps!
