My name is Samone Jennings, I am 23 years old and I am from Waco, Tx. I played softball for about 16 years. In high school I broke the school record for the most hit home runs. I started playing when I was 4 years old and played 2 years of college until I had a knee injury. I enjoy being outside in nature, rock collecting and I love to travel.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I do not have much modeling experience. My mom practices photography, so she always uses me as her model. I participated in the Arts International program which taught me a lot about the modeling and acting industry.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to help inspire women all over the world to learn their self worth, be confident and to chase after their dreams, and to let them know there's nothing out there that they can not accomplish.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Being your own kind of beautiful is to live life the way you want to live it, without worrying what others have to say about the things you love to do. It’s simply being yourself daily and loving the skin you’re in.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I love to dress up in pretty dresses, bell bottom jeans, or jumpsuits and high heels, but I also love streetwear as well.
Who or what inspires you?
My mother inspires me the most. She is an amazing woman with a beautiful spirit, she pushes me to be the best I can be and to never give up on my dreams.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Learn your body and what it can do and what movements are comfortable for you. Get in front of the camera and practice taking pictures. Keep going, there’s someone out there for everyone! Never give up on your dreams because someone else does not believe in you. Last but not least, have faith, what’s meant for you will be yours!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
Self doubt was my biggest obstacle in life. I always felt as if I was not good enough to do certain things and I did not wear the things I loved to wear because of other people’s opinion. Now, I do what I want because at the end of the day, only I can make myself happy. Taking control over my life has made me more confident and Independent. I know I can do anything I set my mind to!
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I would have to say my bubbly personality, my positive outlook on life and my smile.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
In order to gain confidence the first thing you need to do is learn to love yourself, you can’t look for validation from other people. Don't compare your beauty to someone else's beauty, We are all different and unique in our own ways. Start speaking positive about yourself to yourself.
