Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Sierra Martin, born and raised in St.petersburg Florida and I’m currently 22 years old. I’m a skincare student and I have 2 cats and 2 dogs! I love animals and nature and taking random adventures.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I’ve always wanted to model since I was young. My mom is always so supportive of my dreams and wanted to do anything she could to get me the proper training and knowledge on the craft and the industry. After various training schools and agencies promising me work but never getting far, I decided to take my modeling career into my own hands. I did various photoshoots to submit to agencies and eventually got a few responses, one being from my mother agents in Orlando at Model Scout. Being represented by them has opened a lot of doors for my modeling career and even gave me some exposure to work with more experienced and published photographers. Now today I have been in 4 magazines, 2 of which I was on the cover, and I’m so excited to take my modeling career even further with Hannah Noelle models.

What is your biggest dream?

To make a successful career out of modeling! I also go to school for (A)Esthetic Skincare, so I would love my future life to revolve around modeling, skincare, and real estate.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being uniquely you! Finding that odd thing out about yourself and FLAUNTING it because no one can rock it like you do!

How would you describe your fashion style?

Comfortable chic.

Who or what inspires you?

Other models that I see from my hometown or local areas that are crushing the modeling game. They inspire me to want to be the best model I can be. My mom also inspires me to keep going no matter how rough it gets!

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Do as many photoshoots as possible to find your pose style/ look. I personally never benefited from posing in front of a mirror so I’m still learning a lot about how my body and face moves & what looks best on camera. Critiquing my own photos really helps me decide what to do/not to do in my next shoot. Different photographers are also beneficial because they bring different vision and angles to your look that you may not think fit you.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I suffer fairly badly from mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression, so when obstacles come my way they can be pretty hard on me. As far as modeling, I’ve been promised by a lot of agencies over a majority of my 22 year life that they would sign me and find me work, only to send me to development classes or just straight up take my money with no purpose of ever finding me work. This really discourages models especially when they’re constantly praised for their potential but then are never actually booked or even shown proper technique by the agency.  I overcame this when I met with my mother agency who really took the time to show me that I’d be taken care of, but even now I still have my doubts about agencies that aren’t a big name or have responsive & reputable models representing them.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

The soul behind the eyes, smile & heart are what makes everyone beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I think confidence has a lot to do with stepping out of our comfort zones and accepting the parts of ourselves that others may find unique or different. Confidence is all about what you see in yourself, not what you think others see in you. Forget what others see and see yourself for who you really are!
