My name is Chynna named after the famous Chynna Philips from the Wilson Philips band, I am 28 years old from Richland, Washington. I am a mother, and a retired soccer player of 16 years.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I have been modeling since the age of 22 after I had my son. It became an outlet as well as a passion of mine. I started off with a close friend of mine who shared the same passion, helped me create my portfolio modeling Swimsuits. I have pursued modeling even with ups and downs and it led me to Hannah!
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to model in Miami swim week under Hannah! My goal is to inspire all.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
It goes beyond just looks. It’s about your heart, your passion and what motivates you. I look for what’s inside vs the exterior.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My everyday go to outfit must be comfortable! As a mom, I’m always on the go, and I must be able to act fast if possible. Black skinny jeans can go with just about anything, from my over sized rocker t-shirts and combat boots or my chuck Taylor’s. I love repoing all of my mama Harley Davidson over size T-shirts, they are super cute with a pair of knee high boots for fall fashion.
Who or what inspires you?
Individuals who worked from the bottom of the barrel, moms, go getters, and independent women are my rock stars. Also on a completely different level, my 6 year old son inspires me to be the greatest I can be.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Ask ALL the questions. There are a lot of people out there that will see your potential and try to use you for less than what you are worth. If you’re going to be a model, hold your head high with confidence. People will try their best to cut you down.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I am above no one in this world. Nothing about me makes me better or worse than another model. I would say what makes me beautiful, is my ability to see the good in people despite what shade people may throw at them.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
There are people who would kill to have the light that comes from you. People who are above you in the industry will never say anything to strip you down, people below you will always talk. Believe in yourself, it’s the best damn thing I ever did for myself.
