My name is Silvia Marie Colon, I am 20 years old, and I was born in Puerto Rico. I currently live in Florida and attend the University of North Florida, where I am majoring in exercise science. My hobbies consists of going to the gym, spending time with my family, and watching fashion/ make up videos. Some of the things I love besides my family are modeling and sports. 

Tell us about your modeling experience. 

I started modeling since I was 3 years old and I have had the opportunity to be in magazines, shoot commercials, and be in different fashion shows for local and international designers. I have also walked the runways of New York Fashion Week. 

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dreams are to model internationally and travel to work with big brands. I would also like to represent my country in an international pageant. Having my own physical therapy clinic is also a dream of mine. 

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be my own kind of beautiful is to be my most authentic self everyday.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would describe my fashion style as very chic. I am not afraid to add color into my clothing and I also like to try out different fashion styles.

Who or what inspires you?

My family are my biggest inspiration. They inspire me to work hard towards my goals and to be the best version of myself.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling is to never give up that dream of becoming a model. Staying disciplined is key in the modeling world. 

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Some of the obstacles that I have overcome in my life is moving to a different country and learning a new language. Moving from Puerto Rico to the United States was huge change I had to quickly adapt to. However, it has open many doors for me and provided my education.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me beautiful is the way I carry  myself and treat everyone with kindness.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

To someone who is struggling with their confidence I would tell them to find self love. Make it habit to talk nice to yourself and connect with your inner voice. Surround yourself with people who lift you up and see the beauty in you.
