Tell us about yourself

My name is Christina, but my friends call me Cece. I’m currently a senior in high school, and i’m apart of my schools National Honor Society. The activities  that take up my life after school would include horseback-riding, skiing, and babysitting. I also volunteer at a local barn.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

As far as experience, I have only done two photo shoots. One of them was done in New York City at Studio West 38. I met with a talent manager that day who helped me start a pro-folio and give me contact information of agencies. I also met with the agency Cleri Models and spoke with their talent director Naomi. She told me she loved my look however it was not the “look” they were searching for and she would be in contact with me in the next three months.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream would be to be able to make modeling a living for myself. My mom was a model but unfortunately she had to put her dream on hold because of personal issues. She moved to America when she was 19 and she took up many jobs to financially support herself and modeling became to hard to balance. I’m hoping to one day be able to live our dream for the both of us.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Everyone has their own definition of beauty. My definition doesn’t necessarily focus on physical looks, but instead a persons morals. In this industry looks are important, but is even more important to be able to respectfully present yourself. First impressions are important but people are more likely to remember you based on your politeness than if you had a pretty smile. A person can be drop dead gorgeous but if they lack respect and morals they won’t get very far in life.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would describe my fashion style as unique. I love vintage clothing and own many vintage race car jackets. I try and keep up with the latest fashion trends but I also occasionally like to add my own twist.

Who or what inspires you?

My mom inspires me. She went through a lot to get to be the person she is today and her ambition and persistence is what inspires me to keep going and fighting for my dreams. She taught me that you are more than likely to hit a few bumps in the road but in the end those bumps will make you stronger but only if you let them.

What have been your greatest accomplishments?

My greatest accomplishment was being inducted into National Honor Society at my school. School was never something that came east to me and my first year of high school and it took a lot of hard work and studying to become the student I always wanted to be.

Do you have any special talents?

I’m still searching for my special talent but once I find it I’ll make sure to let everyone know.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

A few months ago (in August) I was in a bad car accident. Thankfully everyone involved was okay but the experience really altered my perception of life. In only a split second i went from listening to music with the windows down to being in bruises and chemical burns sitting in a ambulance. This incident made me realize how quick life can change and to make the best out of every moment because you never know when it could be your last. It taught me to never take a sunny day for granted and to make sure you live your life with no regrets.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I think what makes me beautiful is my compassion for others. My friends and family mean everything to me and I always try and do everything in my power to be there for them and keep them happy. It’s important to let your loved ones know that they’re loved, and not just on their bad days. I believe that my love for others makes me “beautiful” because it’s a heart warming feeling to know that you make a difference, a good difference, in someone’s life. There’s more to life than being pretty. Models have the opportunity to tell a story within their image.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would encourage them to focus on their efforts and accomplishments, and not let their failures weigh more than their success. Self praise is important and the only way of fixing your self confidence is by accepting yourself for the way you are. I would ask them about what their passionate about and tell them to use their passion for the greater good and search into the difference they can make.
