Tell us about yourself

Hi everybody! I am Krizel and I’m from Las Vegas, Nevada but was born and raised in the Philippines. I used to be a shy type girl because I was bullied in high school so I didn’t really feel confident about myself, but modeling helped me get through. I always feel like a different person when I’m in front of the camera or runways. I am really passionate and hardworking woman.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I started 5 years ago. I joined acting workshops but then asked to join modeling as well. At first I didn’t really want to be a model because I enjoy acting more but I was like “why not? I will take this opportunity to enhance my confidence”.  So aside from acting I’ve done runways and photo shoots. Since then, I loved modeling and it taught me so many things. I slowly became more comfortable in front of cameras and many people.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be a super model, inspire people and travel the world, to be able to walk for fashion week, work with different designers and help more people in need.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Love yourself and all your flaws. It’s not how you take care of your physical appearance but most of all attitudes that describes you. We’re all unique and beautiful in our own way. Chin up and always walk with confidence.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is depending on my mood but I usually go for simple and classy.

Who or what inspires you?

My family and those people who do not have enough food in their table but still choose to help others inspire me. They make me work harder and achieve more things than I ever thought I could.

What have been your greatest accomplishments?

Being able to inspire others to help people in need in my own simple ways.

Do you have any special talents?

I love acting, singing and dancing.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Being apart from my family is one of my biggest decisions in life. Moving to another country by myself was really challenging for me, handling culture shock on your own, pressure to find a stable job, going through depression and anxiety alone, but it was fun at the same time. I learned a lot of things and it turns me into an independent and responsible woman. And now I love to travel the world.

What makes you beautiful?

My experiences and hardships in life, it shows how my experiences helps me grow to be young and beautiful lady.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age that is struggling with their confidence?

Life is too short to be insecure. Do not let insecurities make who you are. Always remember that you are beautiful in every inch of you because you are God’s creation.
