Tell us about yourself.

I am a 23 years old California native born and raised in Lancaster.

I've been seriously modeling now for about a year. I've walked in a few runway shows and I am also a published model in a magazine.

What is your biggest dream?

When it comes to dreams I have alot. I am currently in school for fashion design. Fashion has always been my passion. I dream to have my own clothing line and to be the face of my clothing brand. I also am a stylist so one day I aspire to style all of the greats of our time.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

 "Be your own kind of beautiful" to me means that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is self defining so I the beholder of beauty set my own standards. Beauty to me is unique. Beauty is limitless. Beauty is thought provoking. I believe that raining true to one's self and illuminating light into the world from within is a representation of being your own kind of beautiful. Beauty is strong. Beauty is courageous. Beauty is simple. Beauty is subtle. Beauty is bold. Beauty is undescribable. Beauty is powerful. Beauty is within. Beauty is a movement. Beauty is art. I am art and everyday I strive to be my own kind of beautiful masterpiece. 

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style depends on my mood for the day. I love to dibble and dabble in different genres of fashion, it's like music to my ears but for my eyes. Some days I'm chic, some days I'm sporting a hipster look, and other days I'm afro centric. I love a good edgy Rihanna inspired look as well as a pin up ensemble. And when I'm feeling a bit dramatic I'll throw on my eye catching traffic stopping high fashion midi dress or maxy if I'm looking for a bit of a flair. Fashion and style is a feeling and I have alot of those.

Who or what inspires you?

Black women who came before me an paved the way for opportunity for all black women today is who inspire me most. Women like activist Angela Davis and Michelle Obama help me see the potential within myself. 

What have been your greatest accomplishments?

My greatest accomplishment is the fact that I set out to do what I said I've always wanted to. I'm from a small City called Lancaster and all my life growing up I always wanted to move to Los Angeles the big city to pursue modeling acting a fashion design and I've done just that and more 

Do you have any special talents?

I have a lot of special talents. I am an artist. I sew and design clothing I also style other models. I also draw and paint very well. In my free time I write music I am a pretty good singer and rapper. I love music and would like to also purse a career in that as well. 

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I lost my father when I was six and my mother at 21 both very tragically. Those have been most of the biggest challenges in my life that I had to over come. Not growing up with the most conventional family structure I had to adapt and become mature before I was ready. Doing so I have navigated my life and career pretty well for being on my own so young. Those trials and tribulations have made me the strong independent women I am today. 

What makes you beautiful?

What makes me beautiful is the fact that I am unapologetically me. 

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

If someone my age is struggling with their confidence or self esteem I would tell them to practice positive affirmations, get up get dressed and get out. Do something you love to lift your spirits and participate in a self rewarding activity to inspire and empower your self worth. Remember to always pray, meditate and then be still.
