Tell us about yourself.

Im a 24 yo model from Toronto Canada. I grew up in India and moved here when I was 17. I love to travel and learn new things. The busier I am the happier I am, so I like to keep my life full with work and friends.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I have been modeling since for almost 3 years now, and I love it. I have done several photoshoots, fashion shows and music videos. I have had an opportunity to work closely with many up and coming designers and makeup artists.

What is your biggest dream?

To be able to have stack of magazines with me published in them.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me it means to be you best self and be a good person. Beauty for me resonates from the inside and just amplifies the external looks. So a great attitude and mindset can go a long way.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I believe my fashion style varies based on occasion, but its usually anything that will make me look taller haha.

Who or what inspires you?

People around me, a beautiful day, a good long sleep. Whatever gets me in a good mood inspires me to do better for myself.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

It can definitely be very hard in the beginning, but networking goes a long way. Go out meet people in the field, make contacts, work on your art and prove to them that you’re good.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

As someone who has a bachelors in anthropology I know everything in the world shapes your life even if you don’t notice it. And it has made me look at obstacles as more of a learning experience and a challenge. The move here with the culture shock has definitely made me a much more social person since I had to come out of my shell to make new friends. The modeling industry has taught me to deal with rejection better. As an ex shy person I once took up a job as a door to door sales person and had to get over my fear of talking to strangers, it has definitely shaped me to be the outspoken person I am now.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I believe my eyes can be captivating even though I have struggled thinking of them as boring since they’re brown. But in the sun they have layers and are deep. Apart from that I would say I feel more beautiful when I am happier.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Stop comparing your own beauty to others, everyone out there doesn’t think they’re perfect. Every single person has their own idea of beauty and you should make your standard your own beauty. I have struggled with this like everyone, but gaining that confidence will make stop wanting validation from others to feel happy in your own skin, it should come from within.
