My name is Sarah, I'm 26 years old and am from Chico, California.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to live a life full of happiness no matter what I chose to do. Modeling has always been a dream I wanted to accomplish and I have continued to pursue because it makes me feel happy, confident and creative.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
I believe being your own kind of beautiful is realizing how unique you are in every way and owning it. I know we all struggle sometimes as we can be our own worst enemies but to overcome any self hate / self doubt and to realize your own potential and unique beauty, is a beautiful thing.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I started working with an upcoming modeling agency that is in my area in 2017. I have done individual photo shoots as well as group, lifestyle photo shoots. I continue to work with a few different photographers to continue building my portfolio, to express my ideas, and to see where this could possibly take me career-wise within the modeling industry.
What is your dream brand to model for?
I don't really have a preference on brands, I love fashion and anything that is cute and comfortable to wear is my go to.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Across the board, my style is pretty modest but I have many different styles, I always changing things up and coming up with new outfit ideas or adding to my wardrobe.
How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?
It is very important to be confident and self aware, it is something that a lot of people struggle with. Many see others as competition or want what they have instead of owning their own beauty. But when you make a transition to be more confident in yourself and truly realizing your potential, it is a work in progress but it is a great feeling that will help you get through life with much more positive outlook.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
Being truly beautiful is something that is within. Being beautiful on the outside is not what makes you truly beautiful. Beautiful is caring, compassionate and is someone that takes the time to be uplifting and to light up the lives of others.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
It is a tough battle to overcome, we are all our own worst enemies.We sometimes see ourselves much differently than others see us and because we are fully aware of our "flaws" or rather unique characteristics, it can be hard to remain confident. Confidence is much easier to obtain when you shift to the mindset to NOT comparing yourself to others, to not let that love interest make you feel like you are not good enough, to become more positive in your approach to literally everything and remaining positive no matter the outcome. Once you shift your mindset and begin to realize how much potential you have, confidence will flow and soon it won't be a struggle point.
