Tell us about yourself.
My name is Aamira Murray, I am from Saint Louis Missouri and I am 17
My goals are to further school but I want my career to be in the modeling field. I’ve wanted to be a model since I was young. A couple years ago was my first show, and in the past year I have been traveling for shows , go-see’s and photo shoots looking for representation. I’ve gained a lot of experience from modeling but also a lot of down falls. I am Dedicated and passionate about what I love and I assure you, you will see that in me.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to become an international super model. Which seems really crazy but I’m willing to put in all the work to make it happen
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
For me to be your own kind of beautiful, it means you’re driven by yourself and what you love. Which is something that can be pretty difficult to achieve because of others around you and what society says your supposed to be or to do but your most beautiful when you can tune that out and do what you want for yourself.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
My modeling experience has been filled with a lot of surprises. I never thought I would get as far as I have gotten and plan on getting. Despite my various downfalls in modeling , it has taught me a lot. It’s made me realize more everyday why I want to be a model so bad and how to love myself.
What is your dream brand to model for?
My dream model brand to work with is Victoria secret. I’ve dreamed about becoming one of there models since I was little and I’m here to make it happen.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is extremely edgy. I think outside of the box at all times. If you gave me a trash bag to work with I will still come up with a way to make it work
How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?
It’s very important to have self confidence within yourself everyday because nobody can love you before you love you. Some people won’t like what you do and others will but it shouldn't matter...as long as you love what you’re doing , wearing and look like you will forever being yourself happiness.
What makes you beautiful?
What makes me beautiful is that I’ve come a long way. I’ve been through a lot and I’ve learned to fight through it all even at my worst times.
What would you say to another girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?
To anyone that is struggling with their confidence...learn to be yourself and hold on to what brings you joy. Self-confidence is actually not the easiest thing to do but you must learn to love yourself because you are worth loving. You are amazing despite what you hear/heard or what happened. Fall in love with you because you deserve it
