Tell us about yourself
I was born in Brownsville, Texas and moved to Fort Worth during high school. I now attend UT Dallas as a pre-dental student. I’m 23 years old and a Capricorn!
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I was introduced to the modeling industry by competing in pageants as a young girl, from ages 12-16. Although pageantry and modeling have prolific differences, I found that I was able to network throughout my years competing and decided that this was what I wanted to pursue.
I was published in VIGOUR magazine February 2022 issue and have continued fashion, commercial, swimwear, and fitness modeling.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream would be to walk in Miami Swim Week and NY Fashion Week
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Being your own kind of beautiful is pointing out that there is no set standard for beauty, it is subjective. While we often wish we had specific traits or could change something about ourselves, there’s someone else wanting the exact feature you are uncomfortable with. Learning to embrace yourself from within will translate into true confidence and being your own kind of beautiful.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style: less is more! I love a good slick back hairstyle with statement earrings and a monochromatic outfit.
Who or what inspires you?
My dad is easily my biggest inspiration. Earning his dental license, serving in the Air Force, and being the best girl dad ever—easily a superhero and I still suspect it
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
Don’t be afraid to take initiative or asking questions! Once you’re comfortable in front of a camera and have a few shoots completed, now you can figure out what modeling category you thrive in the most and network accordingly.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
Losing a parent as a young college student is definitely an obstacle that has taught me the importance of resilience and determination. I now know that I can do anything I set my mind to and am stronger than I thought.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I think my kindness and empathy towards others makes me beautiful. One kind gesture can make someone’s entire day, while it probably only took a few seconds out of yours.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Confidence comes from your own opinion of yourself. If you continue to believe negatively, your brain eventually catches on. Be nice to yourself and remind yourself of all the amazing qualities you do have, the brain will follow.
