Tell us about yourself..

I am 20 years old, and I am from Atlanta, Georgia. If I’m not at a shoot, I’m working as a stylist at Kate Spade. I have such a huge passion for fashion, and eventually would love to get a degree in fashion design. I’ve loved being in front of the camera since I was little, whether it was cheer competitions, singing, acting, or modeling, I love the creative industry!

Tell us about your modeling experience…

I’ve been modeling for a little less than a year now, and I absolutely love it! Social media influencing is what opened the modeling door for me. My most recent social media collaboration was fashion nova to model their nova swim campaign on my socials! A photographer reached out to me and I never looked back. The moment I did my first photoshoot and heard the camera click for the first time I knew this is what I wanted to do. It became my dream, and I’d stop at nothing to make it happen. Because I love fashion so much it truly felt like the best of both worlds. I do mostly fashion and editorial shoots, and I’ve shot for a couple online brands. Studio shoots are my favorite!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to make a difference in the modeling world, and to make a name for myself not just as a model but in the creative industry as a whole. Be a woman who inspires other women, helping others find their confidence. The idea of someone buying a piece I’m modeling is crazy to me, and I’d love to inspire others in fashion as well! To show others how you can express yourself through fashion, and what you wear. Some of my work dreams would be Victoria Secret or Sports illustrated!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful, is being uniquely unapologetically you! Finding beauty within yourself, and not always the outside. Expressing yourself through fashion and what you wear, or your makeup. Anything that makes you YOU! What’s in your heart is your own kind of beautiful.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would say I really have more like 3-4 fashion styles combined, and that’s my style! My style is very city. I love a bit of everything, and I really just love unique flashy pieces. I try to keep my outfits and pieces on trend, but I love a good thrift shopping trip. If it has rhinestones or glitter it’s definitely my style! I’m definitely an overdresser, and I love making a statement with my outfit.

Who or what inspires me?

I would say my mom and dad are my overall inspirations. They’re truly my best friends, and my mom is definitely where I get my love of fashion from. They have taught me to never give up, and to always go after my dreams. As well as the amazing photographers and models I’m blessed to work with.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice is to just always be yourself, and to never give up! In a way modeling is like playing dress up, so allow it to be your escape, and don’t forget to have fun. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own ways, never compare yourself. Your only competition is yourself!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you…

When I moved out of state for middle school and high school I was only 12. I was bullied pretty severely at my new school, and was extremely insecure. These things caused me to feel very down about myself, as a result I’ve become a huge mental health advocate. Before I started modeling, I found I was constantly comparing myself to others. Modeling allowed me to find a confidence in myself I never new I had, and I’m forever grateful for that and how it’s changed my mindset!

What makes you beautiful?

I would say my heart and my love for others makes me beautiful. I’m a total lover girl, the people I love, my friends and family mean the world to me. I strive to pick up and support others always, and treat others with the love and respect I would want to be treated with. I’m such a complimentary person, nothing makes me happier than making someone else feel good.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I would say to just be yourself. Confidence comes from within you, and not from what’s outside. Never compare yourself to someone else, and never try to please anyone else. Ignore the haters, you are beautiful!
