About me: Hello! My name is Haley Y. Im 17 years old and based in MS. I stand at 5'9 with brown eyes and black hair. My hobbies include modeling, drawing and painting, makeup, fashion design, and listening to music. 

Tell us about your modeling experience:

I don’t have much experience when it comes to doing runway, so I would say thats something i could work on, however when it comes to doing photoshoots and posing for a camera, i am very experienced in that area and would say thats something i really have a talent for. 

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream would be to model internationally in places like Paris or Milan. Its always been my dream to travel the world as a girl who grew up in a small town and modeling is the perfect job for that. 

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?:

To me, being your own kind of beautiful means to dress and present yourself in a way that best represents your personality and the way you think. Being yourself and having a unique style is what really makes you stand out as a person and makes you more authentic. 

How would you describe your fashion style?:

I would describe my style as the "old money" aesthetic. I love classic peices and always take inspiration from fashion influencers who dress the same way as I do. 

Who or what inspires you?

What inspires me the most is the fear of being average. Without sounding boastful or arrogant, I believe that I'm meant for more and that i can acheive success with the skills I already have and the skills I have yet to learn. Specifically with modeling, I believe I have both the potential and the right "look" to be successful in the modeling industry. 

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?:

My advice would be to never give up no matter the circumstances. Rejection hurts but it is apart of life especially in modeling. You may not always be what agencies are looking for and thats ok. You should not let that stop you. 

Some obstacles I have overcome in my life include:

Being so frustrated with my circumstances thats I almost completely gave up on modeling altogether. To be specific, living in a small town has made it hard for me to get any leverage in the modeling industry even though i was working my hardest and using social media to my advantage. Getting noticed is hard enough, but living in a small town made it even more difficult. But i refused to let that stop me and continued my journey. This taught me to be resilient and shaped me to be the person i am now. I am more patient and calculated when it comes to making decisions.

What makes your beautiful?:

I believe what makes me beautiful is my creativity. Through fashion, art, and makeup I find it very easy to express myseld and my thoughts. It definitely makes me stand out.

What would you say to someone struggling with confidence?

I would say to them that its ok to be insecure because everyone has insecurities. But to overcome this, you'll need to accept yourself for who you are, even the parts you may not like. Its what makes us all unique and special.
