Tell us about yourself

I'm based in New Jersey, 24 years old, and I'm really excited to create more creative representation for South Asian American women like myself in the modeling industry.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I've been modeling since 2021 where I worked with photographers on a freelance basis, commercially modeled for small businesses, and walked in shows for a few boutiques. From there onwards, I continued freelance modeling, competed in Miss NJ USA 2023, and started my journey with getting represented by an agency. I'm currently signed with NYMMG & Hannah Models.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to work as a commercial model with my favorite brands and for my current business, Aashiqi Studio, to be able to help girls worldwide feel comfortable in their own bodies and themselves.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

It means to accept your features and the way that you dress, look, and behave without judging yourself for it.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style in one word is quite minimalistic .

Who or what inspires you?

My mom's compassion has always inspired me.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Just keep going, learn your angles, reach out to photographers, do free work in the beginning, and I promise when you look back, you WILL see the growth even if it seems hard right now.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I struggled with depression, and settling for having the wrong friends around me for a while as a result of low self esteem which shaped me to work on myself, seek out therapy, and be much more in tune with who I am, where I want to go in life, and the type of people that I want around me.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

The fact that I'm not afraid to be myself even when that stands out from how others are acting is what makes me most beautiful because my sense of self is solid.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Create an alter ego and step outside of your comfort zone to do something that would scare you, and I promise the confidence will slowly go up as you do more of those scary seeming things.
