Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Alyssa Woodman, and I am 19 years old. I'm from New Hampshire and I’m currently a sophomore at Sacred Heart University studying finance and marketing.

Tell us about your modeling experience

I’ve done a few shoots with photographers in NH, most have been studio shoots. This is my first time working with an agency.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to work in fashion marketing and travel the world. I hope to attend NYFW and work with different brands this year.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I think it means to just be yourself and find things that make you happy. I feel the most beautiful when I’m doing things that make me feel confident.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would describe my style as timeless and simple. I love neutral tones and typically go for black or white pieces. I like to dress clean and feminine and feel the most confident when I’m wearing something that is comfortable and fits my body type well.

Who or what inspires you?

My biggest inspiration is my mom. She has the biggest heart and always supports me in everything I do.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling

I would say to just put yourself out there and go to castings. The more people you meet, the more opportunities you’ll get so it can’t hurt to try.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

The biggest obstacle that I’ve learned to live with is being diagnosed with a chronic illness. This has taught me to not take my health or anything else for granted. It taught me to grow my faith and be more grateful for the things I have.

What makes you beautiful/handsome

I feel the most beautiful when I'm getting ready. I feel like having a schedule and getting ready for the day makes me feel more put together. Doing my hair, makeup, and picking out an outfit always makes me feel my best.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

My biggest piece of advice would be to find things that bring you joy and surround yourself with people who uplift you. I always feel the most confident when I’m with people that support me and when I’m doing something that makes me feel better whether it’s going for a run, doing my makeup, or picking up a new hobby.
