Tell us about yourself:
Hello! I’m Taryn C, i am 17 and from Olympia Washington. I do allstar cheerleading and modeling has been a very large dream of mine!
Tell us about your modeling experience:
I only have a little experience with modeling, i’ve done only a few photoshoots with my cheer gym, some shoots for family and school so nothing big but i will humbly admit i know how to work the camera :)
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to become a model and be able to make it to Paris Fashion week or New York Fashion week! I’ve had huge inspiration to become a successful model by looking at Runway and the business behind it.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
What it means to me to be your own kind of beautiful is to love yourself on the inside before you show your beauty on the outside. Also to express how you feel and see yourself on the inside and show that through your interests in how you dress, hold yourself, and show the peers who you truly are inside!
Describe your fashion style:
My fashion style to me is more basic but i like the more minimalistic accessories that can bring out larger features in me.
Who or what inspires you?
Someone that really inspires me is my sister, she never fails to remind me that i am beautiful on the inside and out and she always reminds me that i am a strong woman who can succeed with the power and determination i have :)
What is your advice for some one just getting started in modeling?
My advice to someone who is starting to model would be to stay true to themselves and be confident, the best way to succeed with your dream is to have the confidence that you can do it. They have to be able to love themselves inside and out because everyone has beauty and their own personality which should always be expressed even in photoshoots!
What obstacles have you overcome and how has it shaped you?
I have overcome a few obstacles but one of the biggest ones that really shaped me into who i am is my situation with my father, it started when i was just a kid, it was a very twisted and scary experience and was very difficult to understand so young but as i got older and had my sister as guidance, it really shaped me into being strong, independent and a caring person.
What makes you beautiful?
What i think makes me beautiful is my personality and my demeanor, i like to show people that they are amazing and worth so much so i do everything i can to make everyone feel loved and appreciated. I try to hold myself strong and happy to make sure i can do the most i can to make peoples day better when it’s rough! I’ve been told by people that i am a loving person and i make positive impacts and that has always been a hope of mine :)
What advice would you give to someone who is struggling with self confidence?
To people who are struggling with their confidence, they should know that beauty is not just on the outside, but also on the inside. Everyone has a way of holding themselves and doing that in a positive way can make such a difference in your confidence! I struggled for a very long time with my confidence but i learned that it didn’t matter how i looked on the outside. It mattered how i saw myself as a person. People can struggle with loving themselves but i learned a way of loving myself which was picking the things i loved most about myself and focused on that until i could find more to love! Everyone has so many amazing things to them and learning patience with yourself if the first step!
