Tell us about yourself
I am from Chicago, I am 37 years old and I work in Special Education in the high school setting.
Tell us about your modeling experience:
I started in June 2020 and only worked with one photographer on and off. I got more serious in April of 2022 and started runway in September 2022.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to be on covers, billboards, international runways and to make this my full time job.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beauftiful?
To be your own kind of beautiful is to show the inward work you have been doing and to allow others to see how unique you are because of it, glow from the inside out.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is eclectic and depends on the day and my mood. One day I could be high fashion, another boho inspired and another I could be in leggings and a hoodie.
Who or what inspires you?
My children inspire me. To know I have little people who are watching my every move, to see myself in them and to show them a different type of love than I experienced is extremely motivating and pushes me to continue this journey.
What advise would you give to someone just getting started in modeling?
I would tell them to network network and network some more. Those connections could lead you in the direction you want to go as well as shooting TFP. Those digitals will help jumpstart your portfolio.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
I was in an extremely abusive relationship with my childrenś father that ultimately led me to a couple Domestic Violence Shelters in 2016. I was also pregnant and shortly after I had my child I went to the second shelter. I thought this experience was going to break me and cause me to give up on life. My support system, journaling and faith in God really helped me pull through and continue to push because I had no other choice but to persevere. Having this mindset shaped how I think, conduct myself and to know I can do anything because I've been through the worst.
What makes you beautiful?
What makes me beautiful is that fact that I can relate to people on more than one level and my energy is comforting. Beauty, to me, starts from the inside and therefore permeates to the outside.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Someone that is struggling with confidence had a root issue. I would ask them why do you have an issue with confidence, where did it stem from? From their response, we can go from there. Someone you may think has all the confidence in the world and has been on every world stage could be extremely self conscious and would never know it but never took the time to do the inner work.
