Tell us about yourself

My name is Lara A, I am 19 years old, and I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

I am a nationally ranked figure skater in the U.S, and I travel to train and compete all over the world.

When I am not training, I coach young skaters as they begin their competitive journey. Some of my

biggest interests include makeup, fashion, and fitness.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I do not have much modeling experience. My parents put me in modeling when I was 6 or 7, but I

decided to put all my focus towards my figure skating career.

What is your biggest dream?

I have several big dreams. My biggest dream is to compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. I have

other dreams to be a fashion model and lifestyle influencer. I would love to be a model for athletic

brands and makeup brands.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

While I am certainly not your typical “model”, since I am only 5’2, and have an athletic build, that has

never stopped me from feeling beautiful. Being different is a good thing, and if everyone is held to one

beauty standard, what is the excitement in that?

How would you describe your fashion style?

My style is typically athletic wear since I am always training. While I love some good matching workout

sets, I love to change it up always. I often wear streetwear with matching sneakers and cute accessories,

or I’ll wear something girly such as a cute pastel dress with a pair of heels. A cute bag is always a

necessity.

Who or what inspires you?

Rihanna is one of my biggest inspirations. She has proven she is a jack of all trades. Singer, actress,

businesswoman. Extremely successful in all. She has inspired me that you don’t need to have only one

dream or aspiration in life. You can dream big and do whatever you set your mind to. As long as you’re

willing to work, work, work.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

As someone that is getting started myself, the only advice I can offer to someone else in the same position

would have to be to always embrace your beauty.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

As a competitive athlete for over 15 years, I have gone through many heartbreaking experiences

throughout my career. Injuries, losses, and out of my control situations. While all have been very

different, they all taught me the most valuable lessons I could possibly learn in life, and I was blessed to

learn them at such young ages. Everything happens for a reason; Trust the process; Work harder.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

Beauty comes from within. In my opinion kindness, confidence, happiness, intelligence, and passion are

what makes someone truly beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Fake it until you make it. The thing about confidence is no one knows if it’s real or not. Almost

everything in life is confidence. You can choose to be confident at any given time. While it’s not that

simple in all cases, if you pretend to be confident, eventually you won’t have to pretend.
