Tell us about yourself

Hi :) My name is Lilly G- I’m 19 years old and I’m from Saint Louis, MO. My passion is teaching

individuals with disabilities, ensuring their wellbeing and improving their futures. I’m very passionate,

determined, hardworking and detail oriented. In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, write

poems & I also do nature (and food) photography.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

Although I have no previous modeling experience, I did participate in a fashion show sponsored by

American Girl with one of my cousins as a child. I am apt to learn new and different modeling

techniques in order to improve my attributes and form.

What is your biggest dream?

By far, in the future I want to become a mom. I do want to establish a successful career both pre and

post child raising- but I do value family morals. I believe being an understanding, yet gentle mother

figure is one of the best roles one can take on in life.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful means being unafraid to defy popular “trendy” styles and beauty

standards. Having a handcrafted style that is considered to others “unique” or untraditional is much

more valuable than a fast fashion top.

How would you describe your fashion style?

The best way I can describe my style is tomboy. I like jeans in most shapes and forms, band tees and

leggings when I’m active. I wear gold hoops and a simple necklace with most outfits. I sometimes wear

dresses when invited to formal events, but I feel most comfortable in casual wear. But, like most women-

I don’t mind getting dressed up every once and awhile.

Who or what inspires you?

The idea that miniscule actions that happen in a matter of seconds can change your life. Circumstance-

time and place can determine how your future will play out, for worse or better. I do my best to only

expose myself to positive influences.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

(As a rookie myself), be confident- and apt to change your way of thinking about certain facets of your

life. Be open to change, as any model casting is open to you too.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

As a child, I was raised in a rather dysfunctional home- and was sexually abused by a family friend.

Those situations hurt in the moment, and took several years to understand & process- but ultimately

made me stronger. Never let anyone’s small expectations of you hold you back. Don’t let your own

expectations hold you back. Prove people wrong, be bold- but always be kind. Never reciprocate the

hurt given to you.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

By far, having people who see and support me makes me feel confident- which in turn makes me feel

beautiful. In this life, I was gifted few but very worthwhile, supportive and positive friends who make

me feel awesome no matter what I look like/what I’m wearing.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Although it’s hard, remember that no one is made totally perfect. You may perceive that someone you

know has perfect skin, perfect hair, a perfect family/relationships, or even a perfect life for that matter.

We all go through unseen battles- big or small. What one sees as a flaw, another will see as an awesome

attribute.
