Tell us about yourself:
I am 20 years old and from Monroe township New Jersey. I am currently studying fashion merchandising at community college. I also work part time at aerie offline in freehold mall.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
Unfortunately I do not have much modeling experience, but I’ve been posing for the camera ever since I was 2.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to make a name for myself in the fashion industry whether it’s in visual merchandising or modeling. Ideally would love both.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Everyone in the world is beautiful in their own way inside and out. You have to respect yourself and really love who you are inside and out. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is very broad. I’d consider it casual, chic, street wear, sporty, and minimalistic.
Who or what inspires you?
What inspires me about fashion is the broad spectrum of fashion there is. I love seeing the new and the old. It’s a beautiful industry between the confidence, love, style and passion. My older cousin is in the pageant industry and is plus size. She inspires me so much because she makes everything positive and pushes through the haters. She wants everyone to know no matter your body you can do what you love.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
First and for most i would say be positive and passionate. Keep trying no matter who turns you down.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
As a child I was always the skinny tall girl. I had a growth spurt early on. People would say I’m too skinny or look anorexic. It wasn’t that I didn’t it, I just had a fast metabolism. I also was bullied for having a larger nose than most. This is what really brought me down. It made me feel like I wasn’t pretty enough. As I grew up I started to become more confident about myself and my body. I didn’t care what people had to say about me. All that mattered is that I loved myself for who I am and conquered all the negativeness. I realize it doesn’t matter what you look like. You are beautiful no matter what and no one can tell you otherwise. This industry is not only about the “skinny tall Victoria secret models”. It is for all types of people.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
What makes me beautiful is my love for myself and confidence. It’s not all about the outside. I think what’s on the inside of me is even more beautiful.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Don’t listen to the haters, love yourself and do what makes you happy no matter what anyone says to you. Someone says you can’t tell them you will!
