Tell us about yourself.

I grew up in a small town in western Pennsylvania. I moved to the city of Pittsburgh pursuing a degree in Emergency Medicine. I am now 21 years old and working as a paramedic while I continue my education.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I started in the industry by modeling for a friend's clothing brand and my career blossomed from there. At this point in time, I have modeled for various clothing companies, creative projects, and also in a runway show for swimwear.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is for a life in which I can explore my two passions: one in medicine as a surgeon and one in the modeling world. A life containing both of these things can satisfy my intellectual and creative needs.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful is to be able to take on the world knowing that there is no real beauty standard. Beauty can be found in everything and one should strive to be the best version of themself--both inside and out--in a way that makes them proud of who they have become.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My style is dynamic rather than stagnant. You can find me in athletic wear, street style, and the occasional (but well-loved) glam.

Who or what inspires you?

Though I recognize this as a broad answer, the world is my inspiration. From people going about their everyday lives, to flowers in bloom, to water in a gurgling creek, I have curiosity for. Art takes many forms and thus requires many inputs of inspiration.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My biggest piece of advice is to put yourself out there. Message photographers you want to work with, submit portfolios to agencies, strike the interesting pose, and take the extra creative step. Good things come to those who work for them, not those who wait.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Every day that I go to work as a paramedic, new obstacles are presented to my life. I see a lot of things that are not normal for a twenty-one year old to experience. These things have given new value to my perception of life and health. I no longer ignore my unhealthy habits and I take the time to cherish my loved ones. Life can be gone in the blink of an eye, so there is no time to waste on things that make you unhappy.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My beauty lies in the diversity of my identity. I serve many roles in my life that have meaning to me and others. I am a daughter, a best friend, a leader, a first responder, a sorority sister, a model, and so much more. My life has many facets for exploration and at the center of all of it is me:  a beautiful, complex being.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

There is not a single person in the world who does not have an insecurity. I had to fake it until I made it! You look at your reflection in the mirror every day, so you will notice micro-flaws that no one else will give a second thought to. Stop being hard on yourself and treat yourself with kindness--you deserve the world!
