Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Amora Moran, and I currently live in Ocala, Florida. I became interested in modeling after learning that my grandmother was a model in the Philippines before moving to the United States. I enjoy inspiring others to love themselves and be comfortable in their own skin!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I am new to the modeling industry, but I have some photoshoot and runway experience! I am always looking for new opportunities to express my creativity and personality while positively impacting others. I am very excited to see what the future holds for me and the experiences that await me!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to become a successful model who can influence the beauty industry to promote self-love! Sometimes I feel like the industry represents standards that are out of reach for young men and women! More representation of natural bodies and beauty can inspire self-acceptance! We all have flaws, but it is our flaws that make us beautiful. I believe the industry is changing for the better, and I want to be a part of it!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Beauty, in my opinion, comes from within! Being your own kind of beautiful means completely accepting yourself! We all have scars, stretch marks, blemishes, fat, and asymmetrical features, but that is what defines us! Acceptance and self-love is what really make us beautiful!

How would you describe your fashion style?

My personal style is heavily influenced by my mood! Every day, I have a different style! My looks are mostly street style, but they can also be chic or super simple! My clothes must unquestionably represent me and how I feel!

Who or what inspires you?

My journey has been my greatest source of inspiration. Life isn't always fair or easy, but despite my difficulties, I'm still here and growing into the person I want to be! Everything I do is for the younger version of myself who thought she couldn’t.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Maintain your confidence and faith! Things happen when they are supposed to. Do not compare yourself to others and believe in your own beauty. Nobody else can be you but you.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I've been through a lot of abuse in my life, which has taught me a lot about the people I let into my life. It has also taught me a great deal about myself. You must love yourself and believe that you are valuable, and you must set healthy boundaries for yourself and others. It exposed many unhealthy thought patterns and self-destructive behaviors. It taught me about who I want to be and the value of hard work and self-reflection.

What makes you beautiful/ handsome?

What makes me beautiful is my empathy for others. I care a lot about other people and what they're going through. In my presence, I go out of my way to make people feel at ease, heard, and understood. I never want others to go through what I have gone through. You'll never truly understand someone unless you know where they've been.

What would you say to another guy/girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Beauty is subjective, and what truly defines you is who you are. First and foremost, love who you are, then love your life, find happiness in what you do, and find contentment! For a long time, I struggled with my reflection, and I realized that my hatred for the mirror was a deeper hatred for myself. It took a long time for me to realize my worth and fall in love with the person who looked back at me. It will take time, but the first step is to acknowledge how you treat yourself.
