Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

I’ve been a model since 2014 while working in healthcare and pursuing a masters degree in Physician Assistant studies. I had left my school to instead pursue the arts and entertainment field as I realized I was no longer happy with what I was trying to push myself into. I’m ready to dive deeper into this art field and travel beyond my state for more experiences!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I was 17 when I signed on with my first company and had been modeling as a side gig while in school. Since then, I have been featured in four magazines, walked runways for fashion and hair shows, including Laura’s Angels organized by Laura Kirkpatrick (ANTM Allstar). I’ve done a lot of photoshoots, one of my favorites including a bridal shoot at Kentucky Castle! I’ve worked for smaller stores in my area to model their clothing and jewelry, and two hair salons. I’ve dabbled into acting and am featured in two episodes of an Amazon TV series ‘The Pure and the Damned’ where I got my IMDb profile started with. I’ve booked jobs with international clients and have a good connection with models, actor/actresses, directors, photographers, designers, HMUA’s, and creative directors in my surrounding area and would love to keep meeting new people!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to make a change in my community. While working in the healthcare field and studying as a Physician Assistant, moving the name to Physician Associate, I know there is a lot of issues with the US healthcare system that bar many residents from getting the care they deserve.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

My own kind of beautiful is to be able to embrace our differences. Too many girls and boys grow up developing body insecurities and feel pressured to fit inside a box of beauty formed from past ideals. As a mixed model with a bigger than normal “model” nose, I wish to inspire other people to embrace their own unique look and love their natural features.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style changes on my mood. One day I could sport a classy, sleek dress with slick back hair and then next day I could be in big, ripped jeans with a graphic tee and big wavy hair. We don’t choose our style, it chooses us.

Who or what inspires you?

My friends inspire me. I’m incredibly lucky to know so many great people and learn from them; language, food, traditions, fashion, makeup, and point of views. I ended up loving directing photoshoots with my friends and family to highlight their individual beauty and bring confidence to those who needed a boost.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Research and look into every company, job offer, and person you come into contact with. Also research what being a model is like and determine for yourself what type of model you’d want to be and what your boundaries are. NEVER feel pressured into doing something you are not comfortable with and don’t be afraid to say no. Once a picture is taken of you it is no longer yours and can go anywhere.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I recently decided to do a complete 180 degree shift in career. I was unhappy with my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant and had to come to terms with putting my mental health over everything else. This has helped me realize that there is not one path you need to take toward your future, but a branching path that you can choose which one makes you the happiest.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I love to laugh and make others laugh. I’m also the type who is a big ‘cheerleader’ and a fangirl to most of my friends. I believe a supportive, confident and attractive personality makes a person beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Struggling with this myself, I had learned that everyone struggles with their confidence at one point, if not throughout their lives. Finding inner happiness and accepting yourself for who you are and who you want to be is harder said than done but worth the work. Having someone or a group as support is a tremendous help.
